The supplied bar chart delineates how much time UK citizens spent on phone calls during the period from 1995 to 2002. The provided data set was divided into three groups, which are local fixed line, international fixed line and mobiles. At the outset it is clear, that mobile and international phone networks showed growth during the considered period of 7 years, however the fixed phone conversations became less popular. It is obviously clear, that using cell phones overwhelmingly increased in UK since 1995 by almost 9 times. However, the rapid growth was observed only from 1999, before that it had slow almost plateaued rise. Despite of widespread use of mobile communication, UK inhabitants continued using fixed line for international calls. Moreover, during this 7 years’ period it had stable growth and almost doubled in comparison with 1995. In spite of developing of new technologies, fixed line in terms of local phone calls was still the major way of communication in 2002. However, as we observe trend over the period of time, we will notice that this connection method hit the peak in 1999, and after that began to fall, when finally, in 2002 it achieved the same figure as it was 7 years ago.
