The chart below shows the percentage of whole world population in four countries from 1950 to 2000,, with projections till 2050. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The chart illustrates the part of total population living in four countries in the year 1950 and 2000. It also predict the same for the year 2050. Overall, the maximum portion of total population lives in china, followed by India. The least share of population stays in Japan. In 1950, 15% people lives in India whereas 25% people resides in China which is the highest among all nations. It can be observed from the chart that percentage share for China is decreasing and increasing for India. In 2050, India will overtake China in terms of population share. India will be home for around 21% as compared to around 19% in China. USA and Japan are not showing any major fluctuation in the graph. Currently USA is providing accomodation to 7% population of the world and it is predicted to remain same in future also ( In year 2050). On the contrary, Japan is showing a reduction in the percentage share of world's population. In 1950, it was slightly less then 5% which is predicted to be reduced to around 2. 5% in 2050. .
