The diagram reveals the proportion of revenue from three different film genres (Romance, Comedies and Action/Horror) for a Hollywood film studio in the period between 1970 and 2000. Overall, revenue from Romance film types experienced a dramatic drop, while income from Action/Horror films increased significantly throughout that period of time. As the chart shows, there was a slight decrease in the proportion of revenue from Romance films from 50% to 40% in 1980, then it plummeted to 15% in 1990.
