According to the show chart we can see percentage of households owning and rending in England and Wales between 1918 and 2011. Results are shock and interesting to see. First, in the beginning of this period the rending is more popular than owning household. Nearly 80 percent of people rent it and only 20 – 22 percent owned it. During the next periods of this research (1939, 1953 and 1961), rending households continuous to lead with 60-70 percent but the owning it became more popular and the percentage increase – with around 32 percent in 1939 and 40 -42 percent in 1961. Without a doubt, the 1971 is a breaking point in this research. This year is a extremely interesting because the both – owning and rending households – are equal with 50 percent. On the other hand, the second part of the research start in 1981. During the next few years rending household lost population in society and more and more people choose to own their own home. Especially, between 1981 and 2001 the percentage of owned household increase to nearly 70 percent while the rented one lowed to 30 percent. The last year of the research shows a little lowering in percentage of owning house (nearly 67 percent) and increasing in renting again (around 37 percent). In conclusion, it can be said that the results of chart show us the growing tendency for people to want to own their own home rather than live in rented accommodation
