The bar graph elucidates the spending by people of Great Britain on various categories among distinct age groups in 2004. Overall, what stands out from the graph is that citizens under 30 age spent the least on food and drink while people above 76+ age spent the most on the same. The older people spent the maximum amount of money on food and drink and entertainment while people above 76+ reduced spending on entertainment. By scrutinizing the data, it is evident that the largest spending by all the age groups was on food and drink except people under 30 and 61-75. The data on category of entertainment was almost the same when compared to food and drink. With an increasing age groups, the spending on this category was also increased till age 75 but it was opposite for the citizens who was above 76+. By contrast, the figure for restaurant and hotel had fluctuations over the period. The expenditure on restaurant and hotel were about the same for age groups under 60 while for 61-75 and 76+ groups it was approximately between 2% and 7% respectively.
