The given table illustrates the information about individuals, who are jobless, distribute their time throughout 1982 in the UK.
At the first glance, it is clear that housework, shopping and job hunting were the most renowed activities of unemployed British people. In contrast, drinking accounted for the smallest percentages of acts.
It is conspicuous that the majority of unemployed men spent time for housework (19%), shopping (20%), job hunting (22%) and gardening (14%), however, this proportion decreased moderately in the afternoon. Likewise, in comparison to women, which saw an increase figure of housework (49%), shopping (26%) and visiting (10%). Nevertheless, the percentages declined slightly in the afternoon. In contrast, the time spend on TV, reading, decorating and walking approximate 2% to 9% in the morning, when this ratio increased considerable in the afternoon with the highest 14%.
According to the chart, drinking, playing sport, visiting town had the lowest number. Men compared to women merely spend approximately 1% and 7%, in the morning and afternoon respectively. Although, both men and women spend the same amount of time in staying bed (8%), this percentages reduced dramatically about less than 1% in the other daytime. Furthermore, sitting around amounted to 3% in the morning, and rose sharply with 6% of women and 9% of men in the afternoon.
This is the end of my report.
