The chart below show the average percentages in typical meals of three types of nutrients, all of which may be unhealthy if eaten too much

The pie charts illustrate portions of percentages viewing the daily supplement such as sodium, saturated fat, and added sugar in our basic consumption of food in USA. Excess nutrients might cause unpleasant effect to the body. Overall, major sodium and saturated fat were consumed during the dinner, while added sugar was mostly found in snacks. The first two meals of the day, breakfast and lunch, have the most balance nutrients. Breakfast is responsible for the 14 to 16 percent of daily intake in all three component. For lunch, nutrition value counted is between 19 and 29%. On the other hand, dinner and snack have an opposite portion from the previous two. Dinner contains 37% of saturated fat and 43% of sodium, which is the highest, while 23% on added sugar. Although low in the intake of sodium and saturated fat (14 and 21 per cent, respectively) snack contributed in the largest amount of added sugar in regular basis of a meal, containing 42%.
