The chart below gives information about the production of grains, measured in millionmetric tons, from the years 2010 to 2015, with projections until 2030.
The table details the number of million metric tons of grains that were produced over 5 years between 2010 and 2015 with a further projection for 2020, 2025 and 2030.
Focussing on the highest and the second-highest grain, wheat showed the largest quantity at 100 million metric tons (MMT). Following this, barley represented the second larger quantity at 50 MMT. Both quantities were registered in 2010. Although wheat’s production increased only 5% in 2015, barley’s production went up accounted for 70 MMT. A further projection revealed that what wheat slightly increased (110 MMT) and barley considerably went up (100 MMT) both in 2030. & nbsp;
Looking at the lowest and the second-lowest, rice showed only 34 MMT and 34, 5 MMT in 2010 and 2015, respectively. Furthermore, rice registered 24, 7 MMT and 24, 3 MMT in the same period of& nbsp; time. What is more, both quantities slightly increased during the projected time from 2020 to 2030.
Overall, it is clear from the data that wheat and barley are the most popular grains during the recorded time as well as the projected time. In contrast, maize and rice are less popular grains.
