In 2008, only 9 percent of local people took part in at least one university while the percentage of people who had the same degree in 2006 was much higher, at 20 percent. However, the figure for people with a university qualification in 2002 was a little lower than the middle year, by 3 percent.
The proportion of people who entered secondary education in 2002 was highest, at 65 percent. In comparison, in 2006 and 2008 the number of people joining the learning secondary programs was a little lower than the number of people in 2002, by 4 and 6 percent.
Twenty percent of the citizens participated in the primary and lower curriculum in 2006 while the percentage of people who had the same level in 2008 was a lot lower, at only 9 percent. The figure for people in 2002 studying primary education was nearly twice as much as the proportion of people in 2008, at 17 percent.
Overall, of the three years, the year 2002 had the highest percentage of Bulgarians taking part in the third level education while participation primary and lower level in 2008 was lowest.
