Two maps illustrate the main changes which have taken place in the town of Paris between the year: from 1995 until nowadays. Overall, it can be seen that Paris has become much more modern and busy, with new shopping and transport facilities. One interesting change is that a new football stadium has been established on the left-hand side of the station. The north-east of the city used to be a green area, with lots of trees, however, the trees have been chopped down and a new airport has been erected. Another striking change is that the ancient houses have been knocked down to make way for a new skyscraper. There did not use to be a factory near the city center, however, the last few years have seen the building of shopping centre in the direction of west. A notable change has been the conversion of the tree area into an apartment block. A final interesting development is that the replacement of church into a pub.
