The blueprints illustrate the roadmap of Pentland before and after the alterations from 1980 to 2007. It can be clearly seen that in 1980, Pentland was very scarcely populated with only an industrial area situated at the west connected with the roads. The roads passed through the middle of the town. Sea was situated at the north end. The road from west to east conjoined industrial area with a car park. The rest of the area was deserted and covered with grasslands. In 2007, conspicuously, new infrastructure was added. The road was extended towards the sea which was renamed as Yacht marina. The industrial area was replaced with a multi-story car park. A Swimming pool was made adjacent to it with a park at the north western corner along with the road. Cinema and houses were constructed over the grassland on either sides of the road towards the extreme south. The previous car park now had a road with shops by the road. A few sea facing apartments were also built on the north east end. To summarize, after the construction and development the town become very useful with its infrastructure. Share this:
