The bar graphs given show the amount of British people on full-time and part-time further education between 1970 and 1991. As it can be seen in the 2 graphs, more men and women studied full-time than part-time between the years 1970 and 1991.
On one hand it can be seen that part-time education increased within the years for British people. For men, part- time education was 100 thousand the first years, developing to be around 180 thousand by 1980/1981 and ending being 200 thousand by the end of the period in 1990/91. For women though, the amount was much lower in the beginning being around 20 thousand, although this amount increased by 1980/81 being 190 thousand, even higher than for men in the same year, and ending with the same amount of 200 thousand in both charts by the end of the period in 1990/91.
On the other hand, full- time education for men was about 1. 000 thousand in 1970/71, decreasing to be around 850 thousand in 1980/81 and only increasing by a little bit in 1990/91. Although for women, full-time education increased through all the period, being 700 thousand in 1970/71 and increasing to be about 1100 thousand by 1990/91, being the highest number showed between the 2 charts in the whole period.
