The line graph compares the percentages of leisure time spent five different way the senior citizens of the USA from 1980 to 2010. Overall, it is clear that the proportion of free time reading and surfing the internet, which were increase but hiking rose significantly between 1980 and 2010. However, theatre and watching tv experienced downward trend. In 1980, watching tv and surfing the internet were at around 60% and 5% respectively, which increased gradually by approximately 10% and 10% over the next 20 years. However, 30% and 40% people spent their leisure time on reading and theatre respectively. Between 1980 and 1990, the proportion of reading activities grew moderately from 30% and 40%, at the same time, there was a dramatic decrease in the percentages of theatre by 20%. On the other hand, hiking was 20% in 1980, which was increase swiftly by 60% from 1980 to 2010. Between 2000 and 2010, the proportion of watching tv decreased slowly from 70% to almost 65%. At the same time, there was a immense escalation in the rate of surfing the internet by almost 35%. Reading was 40% in 1990, and it was decline sharply from 40% to 20% over the next 10 years. From 1990 to 2010, the percentages of theatre rose gradually from 30% to 45%. There was a rapid increase in the proportion of reading by 40% between 2000 and 2010.
