The bar graph illustrates and compared the proportion of junk food consumed by male and female of different age groups in the year 2005. Overall, it is clear, that in the age group of 18-34, the maximum rate of fast food was consumed by males, whereas, the lowest percentage of junk food calorie intake on daily basis was seen in elderly age group. Looking at the graph in more detail, the proportion of calories consumption was more in males than females in all age groups. However, the teenager's of both genders, consumed 17% and 16% of calories each day by eating junk food. In addition, adults of age group 35-49, had calorie intake of about 10% and just under 10%, by males and females respectively. By contrast, both genders, in their 50's and 60's, the percentage of consumption of junk food between them was above 8%. Finally, the fast food consumed by elderly, was roughly about 4% in both genders.
