The bar charts below show the percentages of men and women in employment in three countries in 2005 and 2015. Kr39
The bar charts illustrate the proportion of female and male in work in three selected countries: Australia, Japan and Ireland in 2005 and 2015. Looking at the first chart which gives data from 2005, it is easily apparent that the percentage of men in employment in three countries are all higher than the percentage of women. Especially, in Japan, there was a big gap in the percent between female and male when the value of man's percentage is twice as high as the woman one (about 75% versus 30%). However, the country which had the highest number of percentages of people working in total is also Japan. About the chart showing information for 2015, it can be seen that besides the steady growth of female's percentage in all selected countries, the proportion of man who was working firstly had begun with high amount but this number just rose really slightly in the ten-year period. However, just like 2005, the rate of employed men was still higher than the women one. Although the percent of men in Australia didn't go up too quick, with the considerable increase of the women one, Australia became the country which had the highest total people in employment. To summarize, the bar charts show that although the increase in the number of man's percentage in three selected countries are not as fast as the one of woman, it still occupies more the total number of people in employment. However, except Japan-an Asian country, the space between number of man and woman employees in two selected countries in Oceania and Europe were gradually becoming more narrow.
