In 1979, the total amount of chicken consumed by each individual in a week was 150grams, which increased over the period and peaked at about 250grams in 2004. Fish intake started at just 52grams in 1979 and reduced by 2grams in 1984 which remained fairly stable over the rest of the period.
In terms of beef and lamb, both started at 220grams and 150grams respectively in the first year and recorded a dramatic decrease trend over the rest of the period. Beef consumption reduced about 40grams in the middle of the first year and rose steedily over the next two years(1984 and 1989) but declined dramatically to 110grams at the end of the period while lamb consumption also dropped to a low of 60grams at the end of the given period.
