The bar chart shows the percentage of car manufacturer's total sales in North America, South America, Europe and Asia from 2006 to 2010. BKMX
The bar chart demonstrates the total proportion of automobiles sold by different manufacturers across four continents, namely North and South America, Europe and Asia, during five consecutive years, starting from 2006. Overall, while cars in Asia and Europe accounted for the largest sales, those in the other two regions constituted less purchases. Another point worth mentioning is that while in the last year car sales in North America returned to where it started after witnessing a continuous downward trend, the figure in South America saw a considerable drop. To begin with, the year 2006 experienced a similarity in the percentage of automobiles sold in all the continents except North America, at almost 30%. Asia, throughout the period, increased it sales to an impressive rate of 50%. 2008 was the most successful year for Europe because it sold approximately 40% of its cars this time. As for the two continents of the US, there was a constant fall in cars purchased in North America from 2006 to 2009. However, it remarkably climbed back to where it began, at just over 10%. South America, although starting at an incredible proportion of 30%, plummeted to under one tenth in 2010.
