This bar chart provides information about examination pass rates in 6 distinct subjects in Wales in the year of 2003. The chart separates the students on the basis of subjects and devides these subject groups into boys and girls. Units are measured in thousands. It is easily comprehensible from the bar chart that the number of girls with pass grades ranged the highest number of over 60 thousands, however, in boys the highest number of students were over 70 thousands in 2003. It is noticable that three lower numbers among girls pass rates were in science, history, geography showing a little bit more than 40 thousands. Girls achieved more passes than boys in English and art and this ranges were also the highest ones among the other girls in other subjects. In boys pass rates maths was in trend and this amount was 3 times higher than geography. Boys did best in math and science while their lowest pass rates were in history, geography and art conferring lower results than girls.
