The line graph compares the wheat exports over three different parts of the world namely Australia, Can and the EU community between 1985 and 1990.
As can be seen from the graph, there was a similar upward trend in Canada and the EU community whereas Australia experienced a contrasting movement over the given period. Although wheat exports of three areas fluctuated Canada had the highest oscillations throughout the interim.
Initially, in 1985, Canada exported the highest quantity of wheat which was about 19 million tonnes. The wheat export in this year by the EU community was about 17 million tonnes and finally, 15 million tonnes of wheat was traded by Australia. In the next year, both Canada and the EU community decreased slightly by approximately 2 million tonnes each while the export from Australia increased minimally by 1 million tonnes. From 1986, the exportation from Canada went up significantly and reached the peak in the following year at 25 million tonnes, but then decreased remarkably by 11 million tonnes in 1989. The wheat export from the EU community grew mildly by 1 million tonnes in 1987, then continued its upward trend more considerably to over 20 million tonnes standing at the highest point in 1990. There was a gradual fall of Australia wheat export during the last 4 years standing at the lowest point.
