Overall, it can be seen clearly people gave more charity in 1990 as compared to 2010 and it was highest in 1990, it accounted for almost 42% whereas it was lowest in 2010, it comprised to 6%.
The age group of 18-25 was giving money to charity around 16% which was lowest among all the age groups in 1990 and it increased by 14% in 26-35 groups. Those who were in the 36-50 age group were most generous and was giving the highest amount of charity of around 42%. Moving towards 51-65 and over 65 groups there is a slight decline in the charity, and it was around 35% and 32% respectively.
In 2010, youngsters gave less charity as compared to older citizens. In the case of the 18-25 age group, the rate of charity was 6% which was declined by 10% in comparison to 2019. Coming towards 26-35 age group again there was a decline in the amount and it fell to 24%. Similarly, in the case of 36-50, there was a fall and it reached at around 35% whereas in 51-65 and over 65 age groups there is a slight incline in the money given to charity, it accounted for 39% and 35% respectively.
