From an overall perspective, the recycling rates followed an increasing trend over time for every materials. According to the chart, Firstly waste materials of glass were recycling around 15% in 1932, this rate increasing dramatically over time and reached at more than three times of initial rate which accounts for 50% that is highest among all the substance in all times. Secondly, the waste materials of papers also rose dramatically which stood at 40% in 2002 where this rate was around 13% in beginning. Thirdly, around 8% cans were reproduced in 1992, this rate increased over the times and reached at near 20% in 1997. Furthermore, this rate rose gradually and stood at sharp 20% in 2002. Finally plastic waste materials were recycled 10% in 1992 and this rate rose slightly reached at maximum which accounts for around 12% which did not change until 2002.
