The chart illustrates the times spent on telephone by the UK residents between 1995 to 2002. Overall, It can be seen that the local calls has the significant amount of usage overall categories. Although, mobile calls had increased from 1995 to the following years. As seen from the chart, Local or fixed line calls in 1995 was 70 billion minutes and it rose to the highest peak in 1998 to 90 minutes (billions). Although It was steady during the following year in 1999, but the usage of local calls started to reduce till 2002. The time spent in national and international calls was almost half from local calls. In 1995, It was around 40 minutes (billions) and In 2002, it increased to 60 billion minutes. During the time between 1995 to 2002 national and inter national calls had a steady increasing trend. Although mobile calls were the lowest figure in 1995 around 5 billion minutes but during the following year mobile calls depicts a significant amount of usage. In 2002, It had almost 50 minutes (billions) in total usage of the UK residents
