A glance at the chart reveals that coffee production in almost all countries increased, except for Indonesia. The most dramatic growth was seen in Brazil. In 1990, the total of coffee produced in Brazil had the highest figure, at approximately 0. 6 million tonnes, followed by 0. 6 million tonnes in Indonesia. The figures for Colombia and Viet Nam were lower, at under 0. 2 million tonnes. After a period of ten years, in comparison with coffee manufacturing in Brazil, which witnessed a sharp rise to nearly 1. 5 million tonnes, the share of coffee production in Colombia declined quickly to 0. 4 million tonnes. The figure for Indonesia and VietNam experienced a moderate rise to about 0. 3 and 0. 2 million tonnes.
