The bar chart compares the expenditure of Asia, Europe and the USA for five different types of entertainment in 1995 and 2000. It is clear from the graph that the figures for the USA were by far highest during the research period. Additionally, Asia, Europe, the USA all experienced increases in their figures. In 1995, 184 billion dollars was spent by the USA people for entertainment purpose and publishing accounted for the largest amount, at around 75 billion dollars. Meanwhile, the figures for Europe and Asia were significantly lower, at 97 and 67 billion dollars respectively. While approximately 40 billion dollars was spent on publishing by European, the number for Asia was slightly lower, at around 30 billion dollars. In 2000, the figure for the USA was still highest, at over 250 billion dollars, while the amounts of money spent by Asian and European were considerably lower, at 110 billion and 131 billion dollars respectively. Additionally, the amounts of money Asia, Europe and the USA spent on cinema were lowest, at under 10 billion dollars each. Likewise, only 15 billion dollars were spent on video in Europe, compared to around 10 billion dollars in Asia.
