This bar chart illustrates the number of male and female students studying six art-related courses at a UK university in 2011. Overall, The most significant amount of students choose Linguistics, English Language and Literature, Communication and Media Stud. Whereas, Philosophy and History and Archeology are the least numbers chosen by both male and female. Female students is comparatively high in 5 subjects except for Art and design. Initially, The highest proportion of students choosing English language and literature is high with 250 females and 230 males. Secondly, The number of students choosing Linguistics and Communication and Media stud has a slight difference with 240 females, 190 males and 220 females, 210 males respectively. On the contrary, Philosophy has a huge difference with 50 males choosing the subject and it doubled with 150 females. Meanwhile, the number of males and females studying History and Archeology has little difference with 90 and 110 respectively.
