Overall, it is clear that there were a greater number of residences in Derby as compared to Nottingham, in most of the years, during the period. While Nottingham had a large number of houses at the beginning of the period, it was outraged by derby till the end of the period.
In 2000 and 2001, the quantity for living places was slightly higher in Nottingham at 50 and more than 50, compared to around less than 50 in Derby, respectively. In 2002, the derby’s number increased considerably to about just below 100 while Nottingham's number decreased noticeably, and Derby overtook Nottingham.
From 2003 to 2007, derby stood at above 100 in number whilst Nottingham witnessed at 50 in 2004, just above 50 in 2005, only just above 0 in 2006, then it rose dramatically, and increased from Derby. In 2008, derby’s number reached less than 300 which was far higher than Nottingham with only close to 0. By 2009, there was a difference of 200 in both types of residences, near to 350 for a derby, and Nottingham at 250.
