The bar chart illustrates how many boys and girls played different types of sports in a city in England called Canterbury in 2012. Overall, boys spent more time on sports compared to girls. Football was the most popular for boys while the majority of girls preferred swimming. Furthermore, hockey was the least popular for both boys and girls. Looking at the first categories three categories, the number of boys playing football was 60 which was three times higher than girls. Similarly, tennis as the second most popular sports was also dominated with 50 boys and around 38 girls. More boys also participated in cycling with 30 of them, while there were only 20 girls participating in the same sport. In terms of the remaining sports, swimming and badminton were dominated by girls which have 50 and 40 children with a difference of around ten with the number of boys took part in the two sports. Lastly, both girls and boys did not show much interest in hockey with the total of 25 children for both groups combined.
