The bar chart compares the number of passenger kilometres moved by various vehicles in the UK in the years 1990 and 2000. Overall, very few kilometres passenger were traveled by using bicycles, motorbikes and planes. In contrast, buses and trains were more sharply higher than them. Moreover, while air, bus and rail had an increase in 10 years, bicycles and motorbikes were opposite. In 1990, bicycles and motorbikes were less common in UK, with only about 5 billion kilometres traveled, and this figure went down to around 4 billion over the next 10 years. On the contrary, aviation travel was also standing at nearly 5 billion, then rose to roughly 8 billion in 2000. Clearly opposite, in 1990, passenger kilometres traveled by buses and trains were significantly higher than three means of transport above, with 42 billion and 40 billion respectively, and at the end of the period rose to nearly 50 billion. The total statistic also went up, from 100 to 120 billion
