The diagrams show two form of irrigation fields in villages. The first one use for crop fields nearby a river, farmers dig ground about 1-2 meters and guide water to near their farms' then they make the channels which guide a river water directly to crops, the amount of water that goes to farm through this channel are controlled by a swing bamboo or leather basket. Farmers get over the basket with rope which attach to the basket and when irrigation was end farmer put basket in front of channel
The second way of irrigation field is using wells, this method is helpful for areas far from a river or lakes, in this method farmers dig ground about 50 meters to reach water and with
the pulley and rollers system and a cow that pulls up clean water in a bucket and store it in a reservoir in upside of hill then water goes down through the slop to fields.
