This graph demonstrates energy usage in the US from diverse sources of fuels including Petrol and Oil, Coal, Natural Gas, Nuclear fuels, Solar or wind energy and Hydropower, between years 1980 and 2008. In addition, projections for each category until 2030 are also illustrated. energy consumptions are reported in Quadrillions of units.
Petrol and Oil, Coal and Natural Gas were three principle sources of fuel for the Americans by the time that report has been published and in light of the fact that shown by the projections, they will be remained as main energy consumption fuels for the next 22 years. However, Natural Gas usage will be constant around 25 quadrillion units and will not increase anymore as opposed to dramatic growth of two other main fuels, Coal and Petrol.
On the other hand, there are three other energy sources including Nuclear, Solar and Hydropower energies with a much lower share in all energy used in the reported period. Despite all the fluctuations in the graph of these energies, Americans used them by a same manner. Excluding the Hydropower, two other minor resources thought to be used more frequently over the next two decades.
