The graph illustrates the time spent for calls in billions minutes for local fixed line, national and international fixed line and mobiles among British within the time period of 1995 and 2002. Overall, calls taken for local fixed line were highest among all types for each year while the highest usage was recorded in 1999. The usage for national, international fixed calls and mobile among British showed an increase over the period. The calls for local fixed line were just over 70 billion minutes in 1995 and with the time it achieved the peak of usage in 1999 which was 90 billion minutes. Then it showed a noticeable decrease up to 70 billion again when reaching 2002. Time consumed for national and international – fixed line was started below 40 billion minutes in 1995 and rose gradually up to 60 billion minutes in 2002. The usage of telephone calls for mobile was increased significantly over the period which started at less than 5 billion minutes and ended up in around 40 billion minutes in 2002.
