The pie charts illustrates how the spending habits of people in the US has varied from the year 1971 to 2001. In the year 1971, as regards to computers, it is accounted for 2%, and experienced a sixfold rise to 12 in the year 2001. As regards restaurants, it comprised of 7% in 1971, which increased to 14% in 2001. The initial figure for cars was 22% and an incline of 21% was observed at the end. Petrol, had the ratio of 10 in the beginning, fell to 8% in 2001. Book declined by a difference of 5%. In contrast, Furniture remained relatively same. The overall trend shows that people in the UK spend a gargantuan amount of their spending's on cars and food.
