The table reveals information about the percentages of students' attendance of four secondary school types from 2000 to 2009 Overall, the attendances of voluntary - controlled schools and community schools were much higher than other two types of schools. Generally, voluntary- controlled schools showed the most percentages of attendance. In 2000, the attendance of specialist schools was the least with only 12 % and its percentage declined gradually in 2005 and 2009 with 11 % and 10 % respectively. In the same year, the proportions of pupils attending grammar schools was two times higher than specialist schools making up 24 %. However, it also dropped in following years. Voluntary- controlled schools experienced the most amount of students' attendance accounting for 52% in 2000, it's percentage declined to 20% in 2009. In 2000, the attendance of community schools showed the least percentage samely as special schools with 12%. However, it's number increased to 50 % in 2009.
