The bar graph indicates the proportion of the gross domestic product produced from the IT industry and Service sectors in the UK between 1992 and 2000, and it is measured in percentages.
Overall, it is apparent to me that both industries increased though IT surpassed service industry and reached its highest point over 14% by 2000 in the given period as the whole.
According to the graph, in 1992, the service industry started off with 4% of GDP, while IT accounted for over 6 %, overtaking the former one throughout of the given period. Over the next four years, the service industry grew gradually to reach around 7%, whereas the downward trend occurred in the IT industry, falling from over 8% to just below 8% mildly.
In contrast, over the following four years, the trends of the both components increased but they were noticeably different. The percentage of GDP from IT jumped sharply to 12% by 1996 and nearly 15 % by 2000, whereas the service sector remained nearly the same, growing to only 8 percent.
