The diagram reveals the process of making photographs by using digital photographic equipment. Overall, there are 3 pieces of equipment involved, namely Digital camera having smart card, computer and printer. At the first stage, Image is captured by a camera and recorded onto a smart card in a camera. After this, the picture is downloaded to computer. Here the image can be shown on the screen and edited. The picture may be cut so that some less interesting or unnecessary parts are removed. Moreover, in order to improve the quality of the image, some features can be changed such as color, sharpness and so on. In addition, size and resolution of picture can be formatted to suit for use. When the editing has been completed, the photograph can be transmitted in three ways. It could be sent for other people by email or it could be stored on the computer itself or on CD. Alternatively, the image can be sent to the printer to print on photo paper. It may be printed in colour or in black and white to produce a finished photograph on paper.
