The given bar chart illustrates how many people of three different categories- Men, Women and Children fulfilled the daily recommendation for the consumption of fruits and vegetables in three years- 2002, 2006 and 2010. Overall, the general trend observed is that more numbers of women as compared to men and children meet the daily requirements of fruit and vegetables consumption in all the three years while children maintained the worst performance of all. In terms of women, the numbers increased steadily from 25% in 2002 to 32% in 2006. However, there was a dramatic fall to 26% by 2010. A similar trend was observed in the case of men. In 2002, 22% of men met the daily requirements which rose to 26% in 2006 before declining to 26% by 2010. Although there was a drastic increase in the performance of children from 11% in 2002 to 18% in 2006, it could not be maintained as the numbers dropped to 16% by 2010.
