The following table gives information about the participation rate of 6800 Scottish 16 years or older natives in various cultural activities in the last 12 months based on a survey.
Overall, young adults were the most active in terms of participation in cultural activities. They reached the highest engagement in four out of the six separated categories. Furthermore the 16-24 age group also achived the highest ratio in any of the categories, with more than one third of them taking part in cultural performances, which of course is not suprising given that this was also the most popular hobby for all ages.
Looking at this table, it can also be seen that all of the ratios are decreasing or increasing gradually between the different age groups. Consequently the lowest percentages were registered in the oldest age group, where only one in every twentieth member would perform writing or computer based activities. However, involvement in visual arts seemed to be the most dissimilar. 30% of young adults took part in the prevously mentioned activity, while only 11 percent of the eldest category could say the same, which results in an almost 20 percent difference.
Overall good – use some more numerical data Peti.
