The given graph illustrates the number of Olympic gold, silver and bronze medals secured by 12 countries. It is evident that the United States came up first among all by winning about 2300 medals and Japan got fewer than 400 medals. Soviet Union stood second in the list with a tally of 1000 medals while the UK and France stood third and fourth with 700 and 600 medals respectively. Germany and Italy have more or less the same number of medals which is a little over 500 with the later winning more Gold medals than the former. Meanwhile, Sweden and Hungary got the same number of medals but Hungary had more golds than Sweden. Japan and China stand at the bottom of the chart with the lowest number of medals. However, China bagged more gold medals than Japan. Overall, it is clear that the US dominated the Olympic games with a whopping 2300 medals whereas Japan and China won the fewest medals during the given time frame.
