Lines graph showing the increase of traffic in the Netherlands from 1950 to 2000

Lines graph showing the increase of traffic in the Netherlands from 1950 to 2000 b2kDW
The graph illustrates the increase of traffic in the Netherlands from 1950 to 2000. The traffic elevation is measured in percentage and consist of four different transportations: cars, trains, bicycle and other public transport. The information is recorded every ten years for over 50 years. It is demonstrated in the graph that the mobility to cause drastic traffic expansion over the past 50 year is car, which seem to increase exponentially compare to other transportations. Cars as a transportation continue growing. The other three vehicles are slowly increasing in a similar pace which creates a large gap between the cars and other automobile. In the year 1960 the percentage of cars to cause traffic were only 20%. However, the percentage jumped to 100 in the next ten years. Exclude cars, other transportations each took up less than 20% of the traffic in the year 1970. In the 2000 cars reached its highest at 140% and other transportations were at their peak the same year. The year 1950 has the lowest amount of traffic percentages because each transportation accounts for less than 20% of Netherlands traffic. The automobile to obtain the lowest percentage was public transport. In the 2000s vehicles that account for 20% or more were cars and trains.
