After a short stagnation period until 2011, years between 2011 and 2013 showed a slight increase in the number of visitors that were staying on an Island up to 1. 5 million people while the tourist flow on cruise ships slightly fluctuated unless it showed a steady growth starting from 2013. Number of Island residents remained stable following two years but between 2015 and 2017 there was a small drop. Tourist flow of cruise ships began lower than number of visitors staying on Island, however in the middle of 2015 it exceeded the second index.
