The two maps compare a present view of Islip town centre now and project for its improvement in the future. In general, it appears that Islip town centre will become a much more modern and dynamic with far more new housing and transport facilities. One interesting change will be that the town centre will be encircled a square road with dual carriageway, to connect the all constructions and buildings each other. At the moment there are countryside and shops in the north of the town centre, but they will have been replaced by bus station, shopping centre, car park, new housing by plan. Another striking change is that a main road will has been converted into a pedestrian sideway which provides to access to all new constructions and connects western and eastern side of square road. A notable development will has been also in the centre, such as a housing will have been demolished and a new housing and another one housing will have been introduced in the south.
