The line graph illustrates the average quantity of Vietnamese students who studied in three different countries namely France, Russia and America over a period of 15 years. It is clear that the average number of Vietnamese students who went abroad to study in America and France increased significantly during the research period, while the opposite was true for Russia. Additionally, the figures for America saw the biggest change over the period shown. In 2000, there were about 3, 5 million Vietnamese students in France, in comparison with around 3 million and 1, 5 million students studying in Russia and America schools respectively. Over the next 5 years, the average number of Vietnamese students in France and Russia dropped by nearly 1 million. By contrast, more people in Vietnam studied in America, at roughly 2 million. From 2005 to the end of the period, there was a sharp rise in the figures for people studying in America. At the same time, Russia still had a stable number of Vietnamese students in 2010 and then grew quickly by around 2 million at the end of a period. It can be seen that the quantity of students who came to Russia fell steadily at around 1, 7 million in 2010, followed by increasing moderately at 2, 5 million in 2015.
