The first chart illustrates the persantage of household energy use in Australia and the second chart displays emission of greenhouse gas by the the use of household energy. Overall, heating and water heating are the two main activities of energy consumption, while water heating and other appliances are mainly responsible for the greenhouse gas emission. To initiate, 42% of the total energy is consumed by heating activity, while it contributes only 15% in greenhouse gas emission. Water heating holds nearly one-third part of the total energy consumption and greenhouse gas emission. Other appliances is consuming 15% of the energy and the second main source of the greenhouse gas emission with 28%. Lighting and refrigeration use 4% and 7% of energy respectively, but they contribute in the greenhouse emission with exactly double of their consumption. Cooling is the smallest part of the household energy consumption and the greenhouse gas emission.
