The diagram illustrates the linear process of electricity generating in a hydroelectric power station.
Overall, there are several stages invole in the process starting from the float of river’s water to the electricity generating.
First of all, water from natural resources, like river, is stored in a dam which considered a high-level reservoir. On day time, dam’s gate is open and allows water to flow directly to the power station and end up at low-level reservoir. However, at night, the water is pumped by turbines in order to send it back to the high-level reservoir. Once the water passes through reversible turbines in daytime, the generator starts its operation. Finally, the generated electricity is subsequently pass through the powerlines which connected to the national grid.
