Traveling abroad for higher education is the general trend of the young generation. Although you receive many profits from this, you must be careful because there are also impediments that you have to face up to. I believe that it is hard for me to catch up to this trend. First of all, let’s discuss the advantages and disadvantages of learning overseas. In terms of benefits, studying abroad offers students a chance to approach contemporary technologies and efficient teaching methods. In addition, international students can socialize with others who come from other countries and discover their culture to broaden their knowledge and become accustomed to their lifestyle. They also have opportunities to witness the advanced civilization as well as experience state-of-the-art machinery - an experience that seems more valuable than lectures. In terms of drawbacks, in case that you want to study in another country, you will have to leave your relatives and friends. Abroad students hardly have a holiday which means they do not have much occasion to come back to their hometown. Furthermore, the differences between cultures are the most complicated challenges that they have to confront. The discrepancy in table manners, for instance, makes lots of them feel troublesome. Another situation occurs when people feel unable to adapt to the taste of their host country and they abstinence with food here until feeling exhausted. Many cannot bear with those as they have to return to their country. Last but not least, the cost to stay abroad for a long time is enormous, and if you want to, your family must be in the upper class. If not, your only way is to sign in for scholarships - which is very competitive. Most people dream of studying abroad, but in my view, I concur that it won’t be helpful. In the future, I’m not convinced that I will leave my relatives in order to pursue a degree in another country. As I’ve mentioned about its cons, I find it easier to choose a domestic school with high quality, rather than feeling exhausted to keep up with the bustling pace of education in other countries, because of my poor condition and my homesickness. In addition, I realize that I’m not a flexible person to face up to new environments and my talent is limited. To reiterate, I admit that although there are many advantages of studying abroad, you should consider carefully whether to go or not because of its challenges. I think it is a competitive and tough activity and in the future I would not travel overseas for education.
