The first chart represents the different types of energy use in Australian houses. The second graph demonstrates the amount of greenhouse gas which is generated for usage of this energy.
It can obviously be seen that cooling has got the least amount of use and gas emissions into the atmosphere. On the other hand, heating facilities are the most portion of energy use in Australia.
In spite of the maximum number of 42 per cent for heating systems, they have less greenhouse gas emissions which are 15 per cent. It is seen that the number of gas emissions for lighting and refrigeration uses is twice the percentage of use. The first chart shows the numbers 4 and 7 per cent for lighting and refrigeration use, respectively. In addition, the per cent number of emissions are 8 and 14 for the mentioned items.
Another use of energy relates to water heating, which has an approximate balance in two charts by 30 and 32 per cent for use and gas generation. In emission graph, other applications with 28 per cent are the second generator of greenhouse gas after water heating systems. Cooling has the minimum household use and greenhouse gas emissions with the units 2 and 3 per cent in these charts.
