Near 1955, is where the UK started the vaccination, also is where the amount of cases decreased and had a huge improvement in the population health, specially in children. Even though between 1975 and 1990 the disease had raised the number of reported cases within the community, the illness could not raise up to 60, 000 people in five years. Hopefully this will be the same example in a few years from now of the actual pandemic: Covid-19. Achieving a much better scenario of the disease once the vaccine is developed successfully and the whole population is already vaccinated.
