Energy consumption in 2000 and 2006

Energy consumption in 2000 and 2006 PV1VK
The main focus of the provided charts is to show the comparison of consumption of various types of energy sources in two countries(the UK and USA) in 2000 and 2006. Overall, the USA was almost more dependant on fossil fuels except gas while people in the UK consumed more rest of energy sources. At the beginning of a new century oil and coal consumption were approximately same in both countries(27% in the UK and 36% in the US). In 2006, however, while the share of consuming oil showed marginal increase, coal consumption fell dramatically by the average 12%. In contrast, the dependence on nuclear energy, accounting for a fifth share of all energy consumption in the UK and 15% of that of the US, was almost doubled in 2006. Nuclear energy usage in the UK and US was 15 % and 7% with the dominance of the former. However, in the second period it made of under a tenth share which was the least for the UK. Similar trend can be seen in renewable energy usage. And it was the least dependant source of energy in the US.
