The map compares the changes in the town of Langley in 1910 to that of 1950.
Overall, there has been a tremendous change in the last four decades whereas the factory, railway workers cottages, and the wasteland cease to exist in the year 1950.
Firstly, the laundry and cafe which were to the east of the Sherman Street now have been moved to the northeast side of the town, which used to be a wasteland. On the contrary, the factories have been replaced by a huge Sherman Mansion which is towards the north.
Following this, the wasteland on the south, in 1910 was later constructed into a park which has a children’s play area just beside the new lane, similarly, on the other side of the lane, there are 3 new stores which have been built. Finally, towards the west side, on Jordan Street, which had small houses in 1910, after 40 years, have been upgraded to new buildings which have apartments.
