The given diagram illustrates the production of alumina from bauxite.
From an overall perspective, there are 6 main stages involved in the production beginning with crushing the bauxite and finishing with going through high temperature to create alumina.
To begin with, natural bauxite which has been unearthed from mine goes through a crusher and becomes small chunks. In the second stage, the rather large pieces returns to the crusher again. Simultaneously, the small, finer chunks are dropped into a mixture made from acid and water called digester. . As the bauxite dissolves, the mixture then goes through a filter, the residue of bauxite then be separated and transported to local landfill. In the subsequent step, the remaining undergo the precipitator to split the alumina sediment, at the same time remove the excess water. Having been segregated, the sediment comes into the rotary klin. Finally, it goes through an evaporation stage and makes an enhancement to the texture.
